This policy explains how ipadresimne.net (“the site”) processes visitors' personal data. The site is operated from Türkiye and complies with Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK); for visitors in the European Economic Area, we also follow the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Data Controller
The site operator is the data controller for your personal data. Contact: [email protected]. See the About & Contact page for operator details.
2. Data We Process and Why
- IP address: to show you your public IP address, approximate location and internet provider (the core service of the site) and to prevent abuse (rate limiting).
- Browser information (User-Agent, language): to display it in the “Browser & Device” section. Details such as your screen resolution and time zone are computed only in your browser and never sent to our server.
- IP addresses, domain names and AS numbers you look up: to produce the IP, DNS and WHOIS lookup results.
- Port checker: when you enter a port number, our server only tries to connect to that port on your own IP address; no other address can be tested. The result is shown only to you and is not stored.
- WebRTC leak test and speed test: these run entirely in your browser; their results are not sent to our server.
The legal bases are KVKK Article 5(2)(c) and (f) and GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and (f): providing the service you request and our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure. There are no accounts or forms, so we do not collect names, email addresses or other identity data.
3. Retention
IP addresses are not stored permanently in any database. For performance we use a temporary cache whose entries are deleted automatically when they expire:
- Location and hostname results: up to 24 hours
- DNS lookup results: 5 minutes
- WHOIS/RDAP results: up to 12 hours
- Rate-limit counters: a few minutes
Standard web server access logs may be kept by our hosting provider for the period required by applicable law.
4. Third-Party Services and International Transfers
The site relies on the services below. Some of them are located outside Türkiye and the EEA; when your browser or our server connects to them, or when your query is forwarded to them, your IP address or the value you looked up reaches that provider.
- Google AdSense (advertising): Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, and manage third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info. Details: How Google uses cookies in advertising. See section 5 for how consent is collected.
- Cloudflare: for hostname, IP/site and DNS lookups, the value being looked up is sent to Cloudflare's DNS service (1.1.1.1). During the WebRTC test your browser connects to Cloudflare's STUN server, and during the speed test to speed.cloudflare.com; in both cases Cloudflare sees your IP address. Speed test results are not logged separately.
- WHOIS/RDAP registries: for WHOIS lookups, the IP address, AS number or domain you enter is sent to the registry listed for it in IANA's registry directory (e.g. RIPE NCC, ARIN, the domain extension's registry, or TRABIS for .tr).
- OpenStreetMap (maps): when a location map is shown, map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap Foundation servers.
- ipify (IPv4/IPv6 test): for the dual-stack test, your browser connects directly to api.ipify.org and api6.ipify.org.
- flagcdn.com (flags): country flag images are loaded from this service.
- ipwho.is and freeipapi.com (fallback location services): in the rare cases where our local database has no data, the IP address being looked up is sent to these services to fill in missing details.
5. Cookies, Local Storage and Consent
The site itself does not set cookies. Your browser's local storage only holds your dark/light theme preference (if you press the theme button) and your ad cookie choice (for 12 months); neither is sent to our server.
Advertising cookies are set by Google, and consent is collected depending on where you are:
- European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland: consent is collected through Google's certified consent management platform (CMP).
- Türkiye and other countries: we ask for your choice in a notice at the bottom of the page. If you press “Accept”, Google uses cookies for personalized ads. If you press “Reject”, no ads are shown, no ad cookies are set and the ad cookies Google stored for this site are deleted. Until you make a choice, non-personalized ads are shown.
Non-personalized ads are not based on your interests, but Google may still use cookies in them for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of the page, and delete or block cookies in your browser settings.
6. Your Rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Under Article 11 of the KVKK you also have the right to learn whether your data is processed, to request information about it, to know the third parties it is transferred to, to request its correction or deletion, to object to results produced solely by automated processing and to claim compensation for damages caused by unlawful processing.
Send your requests to [email protected]. We respond free of charge within 30 days at the latest.
7. Changes
We may update this policy when needed. The current version is always published on this page.
